Artist and Art Teacher seeking to study in the graduate program at Boston University in Painting and Drawing. I would be an excellent candidate because I have been a practicing artist for over 10 years, and a public high school art teacher for 5 consecutive years. I have the skills and the determination to further my education and goals as an artist. I hope you will consider my application for your graduate program.

Qualifications

• Experienced painter in the following media: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, and mixed media.

• I have strong skills in drawing and have a great love for this aspect of art.

• I am proficient with the computer and Adobe Photoshop program.

• I have been active in the art in my community. I have won several art shows and participated in festivals as well as community events.

Relevant Experience

• My years teaching high school students has taught me the basics over again and made me hungrily paint and make art of my own on the side. My students' enthusiasm encourages me to keep making art.

• I teach well. I have taught adult classes as well. Many great word-of-mouth references have come from my adult classes
