it's a GIRL!!!

Here are some pictures of our little baby!!! We found out it is a GIRL!!! I am so happy!!!I love the pictures of her little feet and hands!!! We are naming her Irene after my great grandmother and my younger sister (nickey's middle name). It is definately a crazy thing to be pregnant for the first time! I had no idea (well, still don't) it would be this crazy! All you stalwarts out there!! Kudos!! I am about 20 weeks now, so halfway through!! It is fun to start showing and wearing maternity clothes!! Maybe if you've had a baby you could write about your experiences, since i feel so unprepared sometimes! When should I start buying stuff like furniture and clothes for the baby? What is some good advice from you all that I should start doing about now???

HOORAY! I so knew you guys were going to have a girl- seriously, I have always thought it was going to be a girl :0) Isn't finding out the best!? As soon as I found out I wanted to go shopping for clothes! It is a good thing I did not have a girl- we would have gone bankrupt on clothes! Irene huh? That is awesome- you know why? It's my middle name! (after my paternal and maternal grandmothers) We may have to use it as a middle name when we have a girl. And you know what else is funny? When we have a girl we want to name her Olivia Monroe- and I know your maiden last name is spelled differently, but I had an obsession with Marilyn Monroe back in the day...so we're both using names from each other :0) I'll email you about baby stuff, otherwise this will be very long! REALLY EXCITED ABOUT YOUR LITTLE GIRL! She is a doll!

Yea! I'm excited your having a girl. It seems like everyone is having boys lately. I like the picture showing her hands, it looks like she may be sucking on her thumb.

Congrats! Girls are so fun, although all I have is a girl. I would suggest buying very few clothes for awhile. This seemed to be one of the high volume gifts I got, which I am very thankful for but she grew out of a lot of them fast. I don't think you need to be in a hurry to really buy anything maybe just get an idea of what you like and maybe set up a baby registery somewhere. I also got a lot of gift cards which helps us to purchase the bigger items. Everyone has their own opinions and what furniture is a necessity and which is not. I would have died without a bassinett when Emma was little. She did not sleep in her crib until maybe two months old and I had my sisters rolling bassinett which was awesome! I also would die without a changing table. Some people hate them because they would rather plop on the floor to change diapers but I hate hunching over. I still use her changing table now at 16 months. I also highly recommend a swing. There were days I could not console little Emma and the only thing I could do was put her in her swing and let her cry for a little bit. Those are my suggestions. Hope all is still going well. I am so excited for you and Eric. Parenthood is awesome!!
